About WaterBell

Water bell is a simple way to remind people to drink water. Yes, people do forget to drink adequate water every day and it is essential that we keep ourselves hydrated. Dehydration may lead to health problems, so WaterBell is an initiative to help people by reminding them to drink water periodically to improve their health and keep themselves hydrated.

What motivated me?

  • When my wife gets into any task, she generally forgets the world. Including simple things like drinking water. So, she used to set up an alarm initially & later downloaded a reminder app. This really helped her drink water periodically. We felt, like her 1000’s around the world get so engrossed in work that they forget simple things like drinking water. So, a simple water bell app will surely help.

  • In November 2019, my friend shared a message on WhatsApp where some schools in Kerala, India ring water bell three times a day to remind students to drink water. This is when we thought, why not take it to every school, college & institution across the world. The message is already spreading fast. News of few schools in Andhra and Karnataka adopting the water bell are coming out.

Simple messages are generally powerful ones. Water bell is one such. We salute the people who originally came out with the idea. Now let us take it to the World.

Individuals:

Do you forget to drink water when you are busy?

Download the water bell mobile app & it will remind you periodically to drink water and helps to keep your body hydrated.

Schools:

Children are always bubbling around draining every ounce of energy they have. They need to drink adequate water to keep themselves hydrated. Drinking enough water helps prevent various health issues and keeps the child energised through the day.

You can help your students by giving them 3 water breaks. Ring a short bell thrice a day & teacher can ask students to drink water in respective classes.

Healthy children turn into successful children. Help them.

Organisations:

Do you run an organisation in which employees are always busy running to complete tasks on time? Most of your people tend to forget that they need to drink water. This may affect their health. There are two simple ways to hydrate your team.

  1. Ask them to download the water bell app that will remind them to drink water periodically.

  2. Give short 3 minutes water break 3 times a day. A short bell will remind your employees to drink water.

Visit college, schools and institutions nearby.

Meet the principal, HR head or the person in-charge. Tell them about water bell and its advantages & share how it can be implemented in their campus easily. Follow up with them after 10 days to see if they have implemented water bell & after a month, call them to see if it has made a difference. You will be surprised how a simple message could affect so many lives.
